Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Procurement Agent Manager (Contracts) (Level M) to join our Contracts and Souring Functional Excellence organization leading the Supplier Financial Risk Management (SFRM) team in Everett, Washington!

This Senior Manager will be responsible for a service-focused group of procurement specialists who provide leadership, project management, and the tools, training, and metrics to enable BCA to protect the production system from financial distress in its supply chain.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess in-depth knowledge and experience with Supply Chain and procurement processes and will be able to effectively maintain positive internal and external relationships. Must have the capability to lead in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Candidate will need strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills to build and enhance relationships across Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Programs. Adaptability and strong collaboration skills are strongly preferred.

This position will discover new opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. This role requires blending new strategic thinking with traditional procurement negotiation strategies, enabling the organizations to provide long-term protections and stability of our supply chain.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Manages team of employees and manager performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods, developing supplier strategies, and implementation to ensure continuity of supply for our BCA Programs.

  • Provide strategic leadership, knowledge and oversight of processes and tools, mentor in strategic contracting strategies, and participate in negotiations as necessary.

  • Build and develop an empowered team through coaching and mentoring, and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.

  • Operate in a collaborative environment developing strong relationships across teams and functions to ensure overall success of supplier risk mitigation.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers. 

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): 

  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role

  • 5+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Processes

  • 5+ years of experience with contract negotiation and developing contracting strategies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain

Summary pay range: (Senior – Level M) - $174,600 - $213,400
