About the role: Senior Task Order Program Manager

Program Managers are concerned with the overall planning, direction and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives which have great significance to the activity’s and agency’s needs. Programs are typically large, multi-year efforts divided into several sub-programs/tasks. Program Managers are also responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach; and defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.

Individual is directly responsible for the Contractor’s performance of the Task Order.  Task Order PM shall have a demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the complex requirements, analyses, and events associated with the execution, acquisition and production of ACAT I shipbuilding programs. Responsible for the delivery of timely, high quality and accurate deliverables.  Assists the Program Office in the acquisition, financial health/status management, production, and delivery of cognizant programs.  Ensures team members are properly trained and knowledgeable in their area of responsibilities in support of PMS 377, including access to relevant databases and systems.

Job Requirements:
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Degree Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline.
  • Preferred Degree: Master's Degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline.
  • Preferred Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Minimum years experience: 15 years professional experience in program/project management
  • Preferred years experience: 10 or more years DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management, or industry business management.
  • Required Specialized Experience: Supervisory experience; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel.
  • Preferred Specialized Experience: DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Naval Science and Technology (S&T) Strategies and Future Naval Capabilities (FNC) programs; Foreign Military Sales
