Compensation Data

Annual Salary Range:

$129,991.00 - $103,993.00
 

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Site Procurement Manager is responsible for the daily execution of the delivery and quality performance of the procurement processes, managing within the boundaries of the processes and procedures established for the Site. As Site Procurement Manager, you will be responsible in the contribution of continuous improvement within the supply base managing key performance indicators. First line escalation will be managed by The Site Procurement Manager. 
 

Job Responsibilities

•    Manage a team of Buyers, coaching, mentoring and developing growth potential, managing daily performance
•    Procure/Schedule parts, materials, tools, etc. to site/program schedule and business schedules in line with business targets 
•    Ensure purchase orders and contracts are in line with Site inventory and cost targets
•    Responsible for realizing and presenting operational targets of delivery, quality, inventory and cost 
•    Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related delivery activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements
•    Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure a high quality, reliable source of supplies, services and information
•    Ensuring the disciplined execution of Daily Management and Standardized work 
•    Ensure compliance from procurement to customer requirements
•    Organize Operational reviews with Stakeholders
•    Responsible for active Supply Chain risk management
•    Working with Buyers to negotiate and establish Vendor Management Inventory and (LTA) long term agreements to reduce inventory cost
•    Role modelling a culture that is aligned to the GKN Aerospace “Great Place to Work” value drivers and Culture Principles

Job Requirements:
Job Qualifications

•    Bachelors degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or Engineering; will consider 10 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry in lieu of a degree
•    7 years relevant business experience, which includes 5 years experience in Procurement, SCM or Production Management in Aerospace
•    3 years of experience with people management
•    Must be able to accommodate 25% of domestic travel
•    U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements 

 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    APICS Certification
•    CPM Certification
•    Strong understanding of the Aerospace industry and AS9100 Quality Management System 
•    Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
•    LEAN or Six Sigma experience
•    Must have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance
•    A demonstrated ability to build relations with a supplier network and having insight in suppliers processes
•    A demonstrated ability to develop a performance excellence organization
•    A track record of Leadership to work with cross functional teams
•    Core competences: Analytical ability, Decisiveness, Customer focus, Consciousness of the environment, Organization sensitivity, Planning and organization, Focus on results
