The Ground Support Equipment (GSE) organization, a vital division within Power and Controls Afterspanet, is seeking an experienced Development Program Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our dynamic programs. What You Will Do
- Leads and manages multi-functional, multi-site engineering teams with Commercial and Military Customers.
- Leads several small to medium sized programs while ensuring adherence to program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility.
- Accountable for the Profit & Loss of the program to ensure sales targets are met for the business.
- Maintain milestones, program schedules, and budgets for programs to ensure objectives are met internally and with managing several vendors.
- Monitors and contributes to strategic planning efforts for moderate and/or difficult programs.
- Identifies potential problems and recommends solutions, such as: allocation of resources, changing contractual specifications, and coordinating responses to customer action items.
- Supports the development of new business growth strategies.
- Directs all program phases from inception through completion.
- Leads the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests (IP).
- Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.
- Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets and contracts for programs.
- Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.
- Travel both domestically and internationally up to 20

Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience working with engineering teams and test equipment.
- Project Management experience
- Engineering background both mechanical and electrical
- Experience in the aerospace industry
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- PMP certified
- Financial background, EVMS

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
