Summary:

    Leadership and development of a professional analytical and technical staff planning aircraft material and tooling requirements for both line and scheduled maintenance activities.

    Accountable for the execution of the airline stocking strategy while striking a balance between inventory, operational performance (Dispatch Reliability), and financial objectives.

    Accountable for developing and maintaining a material planning model to support aircraft in service including station allocation, min/max, reorder point, safety stock, and economic order quantities for consumable, expendable, repairable & rotable inventory.

    Accountable for the controlling the pedigree of the material contained in the inventory.

    Accountable for driving to all functional and inventory-related KPIs; accountable to Senior Director, Supply Chain Operations for delivering process improvement to meet KPI targets.

    Responsible for forecasting inventory demand and subsequently setting/adjusting allocation levels to support forecasted block hours and customer requirements

    Establish and oversee execution of inventory change requirements for aircraft additions, fleet changes, modifications, station startup-up, etc.

    Responsible for material surplus, consignment, and scrap management programs to ensure only relevant and required inventory is maintained by the company.

    Monitor, conduct analysis, and adjust allocation strategy based on continuous operational changes.

    Works with across Tech Ops department to determine requirements for Flight Spares Kits.

    Manages the material replenishment process and collaborates with supporting departments to ensure all KPI targets are achieved.

    Responsible for driving to all departmental and related company KPIs; accountable to Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations for delivering process improvement to meet KPI targets.

    Responsible for coordinating with Engineering and Reliability on the development of component work scopes and repair instructions.

    Responsible for modeling both the inventory demand and inventory value impact of all proposed modifications, Engineering Order (EOs), task card updates, etc.

    Reviews all service disruptions (delays, cancellations, loans, AOG events) and drives corrective actions through assigned staff as required.

    Monitors the supply chain and coordinates with Procurement, Stores, AOG and Repairs to manage and mitigate issues.

    Mentors and develops all assigned staff on material management strategies and advanced techniques; provides necessary training as required.

    Leads continuous improvement/cost savings initiatives within the department.

    Direct oversight of Aircraft Tooling and Inventory Planning functions and strategy development.

    Performs additional duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations.

Required Skills:

    Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics required.

    Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics preferred.

    7+ years of experience in a Technical Operations or Supply Chain Planning role; direct airline experience preferable.

    5+ years of experience in a Data Analytics or Engineering role.

    Excellent analytical skills including use of statistical methods and mathematical models to calculate inventory values and forecasted demand.

    APICS CPIM or CSCP certification, or equivalent demonstrated experience and understanding required.

    Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (TRAX, Oracle, or SAP)

    3+ years of experience in aviation inventory managment

    Experience with airline stocking strategy and AOG service disruptions

    Knowledge in supply chain processes including: component life cycle management, component reliability, parts pooling and demand planning.

    Strong decision making and problem solving skills

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including interaction with a global team requiring occasional off-hour communication and support.

    Ability to work efficiently in a multitasking environment with continually changing priorities.

    Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and fiduciary data along with recommendations to executive leadership.

    Demonstrated knowledge in planning processes: demand planning, supply planning, new fleet introductions, material planning and component life cycle management.

    Excellent analytical and computer skills

    Strong decision making and problem solving skills

    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including interaction with a global team requiring occasional off-hour communication and support.

    Demonstrated ability to effectively manage performance of assigned staff and influence peers
