The Asheville Business Leader will lead all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC) for a business unit of 80 employees. Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage business performance to reach defined targets in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Manage a team of salaried employees consisting of production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product teams to solve complex problems and deliver outcomes for our customers.
- Coach and develop team members to meet performance expectations, achieve career goals, and utilize FLIGHT DECK to deliver value.
- A relentless problem solver: ability to identify challenges through daily management, Genba, and operating rhythms; coach team to solve the issues most impactful to improving products and processes. Stays informed of industry trends that may influence the way we work and business strategy.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations and manufacturing. Possesses the ability to assess quality of information given and ask relevant questions to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing / quality improvement or production support position (Including a minimum of 3 years of people leadership experience)
Desired Characteristics
- Domain expertise in Shop Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Materials, Sourcing and Product Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and experience applying FLIGHT DECK principles such as effective GENBA walks, leader standard work, value stream mapping, APPS/PSR problem solving, etc.
- Quality experience, including regulatory agencies with strong knowledge of APQP
- Demonstration of setting key priorities, establishing applicable KPIs and driving execution of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
- Demonstrated process leadership and project management to drive outcomes
