The role:

Technology Continuity & Resilience Manager

Within the IAG Cargo IT function the Technology Continuity & Resilience Manager will be responsible for ensuring all Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for Cargo critical processes are understood, documented, tested and accessible.

For each BCP, all IT systems, infrastructure and data required to support the plan should be documented. This will require strong coordination across the Cargo organization, including both IT and functional teams.

Additionally, Disaster Recovery (DR) plans are to be defined, documented and tested, with clear accountabilities as to the activation process.

The successful candidate will hold significant experience working in the area of technology continuity.

Reporting directly to the Business Information Security Officer, this role will be a key part of the technology management team, ensuring our technology solutions and business processes are resilient and robust, and support the operations within the IAG Cargo organisation.

What you’ll do:

People/Relationship

  • Build, develop and maintain sustainable respectful stakeholder relationships
  • Inspire outcome-based decision making
  • Lead performance reviews with key stakeholder groups

Governance

  • Ensure full adherence to all governance, standards, and processes across the IAG Cargo organisation
  • Proactively contribute to continual improvement across IAG Cargo, specifically in relation to the Operating Model and ways of working

Responsibilities

  • Drive and implement the development of effective IT processes in relation to Business Continuity (BC).
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships and credibility with IAG Cargo stakeholders, and external service providers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and delivered.
  • Participate as a member of Incident Management to respond to significant disruptive events.
  • Ensure coordination and compliance of third-party suppliers for BC provisions.
  • Facilitate the completion of Business Impact Analysis (BIAs), risk assessments and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs).
  • Develop and implement BC testing and exercising scenarios across the Cargo IT technology estate.
  • Host and facilitate live and table-top exercises to test IT Disaster Recovery effectiveness and response team capabilities.
  • Accurately report on key BC indicators, continually identifying areas for improvement across key Cargo IT activities, systems and impacts.
  • Review and update policies, management and operational processes.

 

What you’ll bring to IAG Cargo:

Skills

  • Demonstrates and applies a deep understanding of IT continuity and resilience principles.
  • Initiates and manages change to help shape the future direction of IAG Cargo IT and 3rd party vendor relationships
  • Demonstrates clear leadership and an ability to influence and persuade across the organisation at senior levels, leading by example and aligning stakeholder groups around a common vision.
  • Collaborative, open working, resulting in recognition as a valued partner by colleagues, customers and senior stakeholders across IAG Cargo
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Experience

  • Expertise in IT Continuity, Disaster Recovery (DR) Management, Business Continuity Management (BCM), including Operational Resilience, with demonstrable experience in DR Plan development and execution.
  • IT leadership experience, gained in a complex global organisation, with a proven track record of effectively influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Experienced in requirements gathering techniques and in writing assessments.
  • More than 5-years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to work both independently, and as part of a wider organization.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure team environment, perform multiple concurrent activities and respond quickly to incidents.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple vendors across regions.
  • Experience in completing internal audits is desirable, but not essential.
