Overview

V2Xs Transportation, Technology, and Tolling Solutions (T3S) group is in search of a Project Manager to join our toll system team and aid in its continued growth and success. This multifaceted role encompasses various overlapping responsibilities and is designed for an individual with significant experience in electronic toll collection engineering.

General

The Project Manager needs to demonstrate strong organization thinking, being able to understand enterprise and project goals, decompose them into objectives, and develop plans and tactics to achieve them. The position is very technical but requires good people management skills.

Product Development Role

In this role the Project Manager will work with business development and engineering to identify customer demand for products and features, provide “voice-of-the-customer” inputs, define functional requirements, collaborate on technical designs, assist with field trials, and support product sales efforts.

Business Development Role

The Project Manager will support new business and follow-on business develop activities including identifying new leads, qualifying opportunities, helping the business development team analyze bid strategy, selecting teaming partners and suppliers, working with proposal teams to generate content, working with pricing teams to generate estimates and obtain costs, support oral proposal presentations to customers, assist negotiations, and hand-over new contracts to delivery teams. The role will require occasional travel to prospective customer site meetings and periodic attendance of trade association conferences like IBTTA and TEAM-FL.

Delivery Role

During the design build phase, this Project Manager will work with a multidisciplined team to perform engineering design, documentation, procurement, subcontracting, testing, field services documentation and planning for toll authorities.

The individual will lead program technical execution through focused messaging, leadership visibility, clear role definition, developing customer intimacy, making critical decisions, and clear communications.

Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments.

Serve as technical and programmatic liaison to the customer with the authority to commit company resources as necessary to ensure efficient and timely program execution.

Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs.

Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion. Works with the Program Manager to manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs.

Coordinates the negotiation, proposals, business plans, budgets, and contracts for programs.

Establishes cost focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets.

Serves as the primary point of contact for our customers on technical issues.

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Accountable for projects in their entirety, including cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Maintain relationship of trust and respect with customers, subcontractors, and internal team members
  • Integrate and coordinate projects with field personnel and subcontractors
  • Prepare and distribute project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders
  • Prepare and monitor project schedules and budgets; provide technical guidance and assistance on contracting and deployment-related issues; direct design efforts; review deliverable documents; and provide field oversight
Operations and Maintenance Role

After the Delivery phase the Project Manager directs all technical program support, providing technical guidance to the support team and managing the support task backlog list. The Project Manager collaborates with the maintenance team and the engineering manager to ensure technical issues are correctly analyzed and that the solutions being provided meet customer expectations.

Coordinate the work of the maintenance delivery team, including technical and product support, field project management, training, service supply chain and logistics, repair depot, customer assistance and call center, service business operations teams.

May be required to execute additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications/Skills

  • Bacheor's degree in any discipline from an accredited University
  • Minimum five years' PM work experience in toll system integration projects
  • Experience managing projects with minimum $10M budgets
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills to interface directly with customers
  • Strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Strong leadership, project management, team building and presentation skills.
  • Experience leading a multifunctional, geographically spread-out team
  • Able to pass client background checks.
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and problem solve effectively.
  • Written and oral communication skills, especially ability to brief customers.
  • Strong multi-tasker with the ability to manage time and priorities.
  • Strong leadership, project management, team building and presentation skills.
