Boeing Defense, Space & Security is currently looking for a Senior Quality Manager to join their team in San Antonio, TX. This position will support the VC-25B program.

The successful candidate will lead Inspection on the VC-25B program and work closely with Operations, Production Engineering, and other functional teams to support the build plan. They will be responsible for upholding Quality Management System and Repair Station Manual requirements.

The successful candidate will have the ability to understand the business, inter-relationship between organizational functions, manage competing priorities, and enforce quality requirements. They will also work collaboratively across a variety of functions and levels within the organization and customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers, and direct reports

  • Collaborates with functional leaders to support aircraft build strategy and execution

  • Leads quality inspection team. Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers to execute aircraft inspection requirements

  • Interfaces with Operations, Quality, Engineering, regulatory agencies, and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting airplane build, test and delivery

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Enforces quality management system requirements. Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

  • Leads process improvements to drive improvements to the quality system

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years experience presenting and communicating data in Senior Leadership briefings

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)

  • 1+ years of experience interfacing with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience developing/managing metrics and Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA)

Summary pay range: $134,300 – $181,700
