For the Final Assembly lines the department &34;EDXZ - Product Improvement&34; is responsible for the development, implementation and industrialization of new improvements and innovations in the final assembly line according to the industrial model.

Definition VIE

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). Your location

At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • General

    • achieve project objectives (time, scope, cost, quality) to customer satisfaction in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations

    • define, implement and drive a project team/organization all along the project phases, including people coming from other functions (matrix organizations)

    • ensure effective integration of lessons learnt, ensure active risk, opportunity and contract (internal or external) management and ensure effective management of partners and suppliers

  • Technical product definition and process definition

    • definition of new innovative production processes

    • Lean Management, as well as analysis and optimization of existing processes, including logistic flows

    • definition of production means and test means

    • benchmark on other programs and products

  • Project

    • support of innovation and improvement projects in final assembly lines including hangar planning and workplace optimization

    • cost controlling for new investments

    • preparation of decision matrix and implementation of new projects

  • Manufacturing Engineering

    • analysis and optimization of assembly processes

    • creation of industrial and technical specifications

    • support on health and safety actions in the Final assembly line NH90

    • digitalization

 

 Desired skills and qualifications
  • university degree in aerospace- , mechanical- , electrical- , production engineering or a comparable field of study

  • first practical experience within project management

  • experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage

  • good knowledge in MS Office

  • team spirit, confident appearance, good communication skills and structured way of working

  • English: negotiation level, German would be a plus
