We currently have an exciting opportunity for the role of Vice President of Cabin Service Operations to join our Catering Team. As the successful candidate, your primary responsibilities include developing, leading, directing, and implementing global logistic supply and galley planning (food and beverage, or F&B) and non-food operational and supply strategies. Your goal is to ensure consistent quality, customer service, and minimize overall wastage. You will also oversee the implementation of cutting-edge Supply Chain and Galley Planning Management systems, positioning our company as an industry leader in hospitality excellence. This involves managing the global organization, warehousing, and supply chain for all onboard goods, both food and non-food items.
Job Outline:
- Lead an end-to-end comprehensive supply chain strategy aimed at achieving optimal operational catering performance across various metrics, including operational and financial performance, customer satisfaction (both internal and external), punctuality, sustainability as well as safety and quality compliance.
- Lead responsibility for planning, designing, releasing, and maintaining detailed and on time, optimized and efficient Galley Planning for all scheduled and ad hoc flights to enable service providers to pack, marshal and load departure flights to the standards required. Ensure that for the publication of updated aircraft galleys weights (food and non-food items) to Flight Operations for considerations when planning aircraft weight, balance & loads.
- Oversee all the subcontracted warehousing and distribution activities network wide to ensure products delivered are to the agreed specifications. Oversee the holding, reporting & replenishment of inventories across warehouses, caterers, through the contracted Service Providers and ensure accuracy and timely delivery of the product on board our aircraft, adhering to the specified commercial requirements.
- Oversee the Supply Chain software system and other relevant tools and systems, including load schedule, galley load planning, quality assurance (compliance & audit) invoicing and inventory management. The objective is to ensure that the supporting systems optimize waste and cost management efficiency without compromising quality.
- Responsible for planning decisions, providing stakeholders with meal, and loading schedule updates, serving as a brand and guest advocate, and oversee the planning and supply chain for Emirates Flight Catering and network-wide stations, ensuring efficiency and stock requirements are balanced.
- Collaborate with Procurement & Logistics (P&L) regarding supply chain/warehousing to ensure that service level and commercial targets are consistently met. Lead with P&L in the evaluation, price negotiation and final supplier selections to ensure EK has the most cost-effective supply of consistent quality catering, products, and services. Accountable for delivering the right product in the right place at the right time.
