Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining inventory control of Material Stores, Tool Stores, Special Test Equipment and related operations property in an accurate and timely manner in addition to typical Bondroom duties.  Communicate requirements and information to team members, supervisor and management.  Interface and coordinate with various other functions (quality, engineering, customer, QAR) to resolve issues and ensure timely product delivery.  Coordinate workload and manpower with other Working Leaders.  Assign day-to-day tasks to team members.

This pay range for Lead Bondroom Technician is $34.83 - $56.19 an hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Understand the Pratt & Whitney Quality policies to ensure workmanship meets requirements and FOD controls are followed.

Ensure document trace ability for jet engine parts, components, controls, sub-assemblies and complete engines to meet audit and inventory requirements.

Complete and maintain required paperwork in accordance with established procedures, including but not limited to work-orders, tools, equipment, deviation reports, sign-offs, and logs.

Participate in and comply with requirements of CORE programs, training, and activities to achieve company goals.

Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor

Perform routine maintenance of equipment and/or tooling (i.e. calibration, load test or preventative maintenance)

Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits or certifications as required

Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or to develop the individuals skills

Handle process related waste in accordance with approved documented work instructions

Will work directly with an FSR/FSE for the interpretation of technical data and troubleshooting of tools/support equipment issues and will be available if criteria needs clarification. If a process is added or changed the tech(s) preforming the task will communicate directly with the FSR/FSE assigned to the engine/module for clarification.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

As the Working Lead Bondroom Tech, the successful candidate will ensure document traceability for jet engine

parts, components, controls, sub-assemblies, support equipment tooling, and complete engines to meet audit and

inventory requirements. The Working Lead Bondroom Tech must perform periodic inspections on shop equipment.

Monitor and control calibration of tooling/equipment, consumable material usage, hazardous waste disposal, and

shop towel program.

The typical duties include, but are not limited to:

-Prioritize and execute day to day bondroom activities as required by flight test and engine shop maintenance

schedule.

-Understand, and communicate Pratt & Whitney policies and procedures.

-Complete and maintain required paperwork in accordance with established procedures, including but not limited to

work orders, tools, equipment, deviation reports, sign-offs, and logs.

-Participate in and comply with requirements of CORE programs, training, and activities to achieve company

goals.

-Perform routine maintenance of equipment.

-Obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as required.

-Prepare tools and equipment for shipping.

-Handle and process hazardous material and its related wastes safely, and in accordance with approved documented

work instructions.

-Perform additional tasks in support of business objectives and/or to develop the individuals skills, as well as the

skills of other bondroom personnel.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required.

-Strong Leadership, Communication, and Organizational skills required.

-Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays when required.

-Flexibility to work alternate shifts as required.

-Ability to lift heavy objects as required.

-Ability to maintain a security clearance required.
