Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Computer Operations Analyst – Computer Operations Support Analyst (COSA) (24-288) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Position Overview:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

The selected candidate will be part of a team that reports to the C2BMC Watch Officer (CWO) and performs daily system monitoring, operations, and maintenance of the C2BMC systems in a 24x7 operations and test environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide first-level technical support to the warfighter and perform initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC hardware, software, and networks.
  • Document and report all events/issues to the CWO and receive tasking and direction from the CCC for all operations, tests & real-world events.
  • Assist in all hardware/software installations directed by the local SMEs and create and maintain user accounts as directed by the local ISSO.
  • Operates and sustains the C2BMC mission systems and training systems environment for operational and training missions supported by C2BMCs presence in the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC).
  • Training systems support includes operating the Distributed Training System (DTS) Control Center (DCC) as necessary to train, qualify, certify, and maintain Warfighter proficiency at operating locations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance and SCI approval/access.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Specialized Training, or a related field; 4 years experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
  • Rotating 24x7 shift work. The candidate will be assigned to a shift, and mission requirements will determine the assignment (Ops or Training). Some substitute rotation during off-shifts, including nights and weekends, will be required.
  • Experience operating and maintaining large-scale computer and communications systems/networking environments.
  • Experience in system and network administration that includes the following (UNIX, Linux, Windows, Cisco, and Juniper).
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software components.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is highly desired.
  • Experience and knowledge of C2BMC Systems or Missile Defense Systems.

Salary Range: $59,600 - $89,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
