The Boeing Company is seeking Assemblers and Structure Mechanics to join our Fabrication and/or Join and Instillation teams supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Washington State!  

As a Assembler in Fabrication you will be drilling, bonding, and riveting detail parts (e.g., nut plates, latches, pulley brackets) to build minor sub assemblies such as portions of overhead stowage bins, cockpit instrument panels, electrical boxes, duct assemblies, and assorted brackets. These sub assemblies are later incorporated in larger assemblies that are subsequently installed on the airplane.

20104 – Assembler Sub Assembly/Fastener B (Auburn)

20503 – Interiors Assembler (Everett)

C0804 – Assemblers - Tubes, Ducts and Reservoirs (Algona)

As a Assembler in Joint and Instillation you will work within a final assembly/fabrication environment by drawing on knowledge acquired from training and certification classes to complete your daily assigned work. By interpreting drawings and reading/comprehending work instructions you will be responsible for identifying your work (task) location on the airplane/part/tooling and identifying all required hand tools, parts and equipment to accomplish defect-free work.

30005 – Aircraft Structures Mechanic (Renton, Everett)

30304 – Assembler Installer General B (Renton, Everett)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use a computer in a production environment.

  • Look up/read/comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.

  • Fabricate and assemble aircraft interior panels, stowage bins, sidewalls, closets, and other assemblies.

  • Appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing.

  • Various tools such as Rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, C-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, sanders, knifes and various other hand tools.

  • Chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.

  • Once your work is completed per drawing requirement youll inspect your work quality and check for FOD (Foreign Object Debris).

  • Frequent (3-6 Hrs.): Handling (holding, grasping), Standing, Carrying/Lifting up to 10 pounds,

  • Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), Handling, Kneeling, Bending at the waist, Reaching (overhead), Rotation of head/neck, Twisting at the waist and walking.

  • Exposure to constant noise Adhesives, Plastics and Solvents.

  • Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).

  • Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents.

 

This position is expected to be 100 onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

 

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training course with a signed form from your instructor

Typical Education & Experience:

High school diploma and/or General Education Diploma (GED)
