The role we are offering you:
By joining our team, you would have the opportunity to develop and maintain CAEu2019s web-based SaaS product which is used worldwide in various training centers and hosted on different IT infrastructures (virtual, physical, corporate data centers using different approaches or dedicated servers).
You will be able to improve and acquire new knowledge in different fields and have insight to various product lifecycle stages. According to your interests, you will work on one or many of the following aspects:
Design and develop the User Interface
Design and develop backend, APIs, and data-access layers
Infrastructure and deployment
Our team applies the agile methodology with 2-week sprints, and we follow the DevOps principles to deploy our services to our clients.
The main technologies and programming languages are:
Angular (v15+), jQuery and JSP u2013u202FMain programming language for the frontend
JAVA u2013u202FMain programming language for the backend
PostgreSQL u2013 Main database engine
Linux Containers u2013 Main hosting infrastructure
The main tools you will work with are:
IntelliJ IDEA u2013u202FBackend and frontend code
Jenkins u2013 Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD)
Microsoft DevOps u2013u202FSprint activities
Microsoft Teams u2013u202FCommunication, Virtual meetings
Lucidchartu202Fu2013 Architecture and design diagrams
Are you ready to:
Code the approved solutions within appropriate delays
Implement automated tests
Contribute to the code review activities
Apply the DevOps process
Actively participate to the team meetings
Our ideal candidate has:
Has experience in coding with Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and preferably Angular and Typescript
Has at least 2 years of experience u2013 studying or working u2013 coding software
Works well in a team
Is autonomous and reliable
Is open to feedback and takes it into account
Is motivated and wishes to learn
(Advantage) Has already worked with Angular and Typescript and cloud hosted application
Preferred Education
Location of the internship is Montreal.
Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode
*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.
*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
