Must be customer services oriented. Coordinates contractual needs of customer required baggage handling in the bag room; third party baggage handling, including the off-load and on-load of aircraft. Assigned duties include; monitoring the bag room functions in accordance with customer requirement, ensuring that baggage and/or containers are loaded in the proper aircraft positions/bins, Load Control Agents are provided applicable information, and Weight and Balance agents and offices are provided applicable information. Ensures that flight arrival/departure times, on-line baggage transfer information, and passenger stand-by information is communicated to applicable departments or ground handler. Reports abnormalities to customer.
May also be required to conduct training, including the use of bag tag scanners, interpretation of load sheets, and 3-letter city codes. Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.
