Electrical Technician

About the role:  

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• ensuring the serviceability of all equipment and systems under its department.
• ensuring that electrical maintenance works and installations are carried out in compliance with the applicable local and internal regulations. 
• effective and proper use of all resources and manpower
• all spare withdrawal from store and proper usage on site to ensure availability of all required essential spares at all times
• ensuring all breakdown maintenance are attended to timely and system normalised with minimum downtime
• organising tools so as to ensure availability of required tools readily to minimise losses
• raising requisitions for spares and services
• assisting the Supervisor to conduct audit inspections of systems and infrastructures
• maintaining records
• carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance checks 

About the candidate:

• High School or Diploma with with minimum 3 yrs of Job related experience
• Bachelors degree or equivalent with 1yr job related experience
• Testing and commissioning of LV and ELV systems
• Sound theoretical and practical knowledge of all electrical and associated systems
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage a department on in-house technicians & assistant technicians
• Experience in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, layouts and as-built
• Experience in providing technical findings and conducting fault-finding on all types of electrical systems
