Join Lockheed Martins dynamic team working on the cutting edge of aerospace technology. We provide training systems for the worlds most advanced aircraft, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter.

The Work

As a key member of our Software Engineering team, you will:

• Create a program using IEC 61131-3 language which will execute in a PLC (programable Logic Controllers); The program will process commands from a host application and send commands to a variety electrical equipment.
• Work in conjuncture (and at times assist ) developers of the host application (Primarily C).
• Work with the electrical design team to help guide the electrical design to meet the needs of the PLC.
• Assist during the integration and testing of the PLC code and overall system.
• Domestic/International Travel required up to 20 of the time, based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in a related discipline, with 9 or more years of professional experience; or a Master’s degree with 7 or more years of professional experience.
• Experience programming PLCs
• Experience with programming industrial Input/Output systems.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience working with industrial motors
• Experience working with Kollmorgen Equipment
• Experience working with Wago Equipment.
• Familiarity with programming in C
• Experience analyzing and designing the motion control system to ensure it meets international safety regulations.
• Experience programming single axis and multi axis industrial motion control systems that utilize field oriented control techniques.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
