Job Description:

As our Facilities Maintenance Technician at StandardAero in Houston, TX, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our buildings and equipment. Your role involves a wide range of tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and mechanical repairs. Your ability to troubleshoot, perform routine upkeep, and handle various maintenance challenges is essential for the smooth operation and success of our facility.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensure that all systems are functioning properly and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. 
  • Repair and maintain buildings and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, painting, mechanical systems, basic cleaning, fabrication, and basic welding.
  • Maintain vehicles through routine upkeep, automotive repair, and troubleshooting of gasoline and diesel engines.
  • Remove refuse and hazardous waste in compliance with EPA standards and codes.
  • Conduct safety checks for fire equipment, tooling, and environmental programs to ensure employee safety.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of four years of experience in relevant construction, facilities maintenance, or automotive trades. 
  • Ability to obtain 24-hour HAZWOPER certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals.
  • Comfort working in extreme weather conditions and at heights.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • HAZWOPER Certification 
  • Basic knowledge of EPA HAZMAT control and handling.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers and employees.
  • Previous experience in carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, automotive care, air conditioning, and diesel.
