DescriptionMinimum qualifications:
- 3+ years HR Business Partner or relevant experience
- Up to 5 domestic travel as needed
- Track record of driving initiatives aligned with long-term business goals
- Proficiency in data/people analytics
- Exceptional communication, and business writing and editing skills
- Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
- Reliable attendance; supports 24/7 operations with off-hours availability
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification
- Airline or aviation industry experience
- Knowledge of California employment laws
- Experience with represented employees and/or Labor Relations
- Experience as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on talent forecasting and organizational design

The HR Business Partner will strategically partner with SFO Airport Operations to drive organizational performance through people analytics, workforce planning, and HR initiatives that enhance operational performance and employee experience. This individual will proactively guide leaders through complex organizational changes and implement long-term HR strategies.
Core accountabilities / key responsibilities:
Strategic HR Partnership
- Advise leaders on complex HR matters with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and sustainable outcomes
- Collaborate with HR COEs and Business Partners to implement HR and business strategies
- Support operational teams with high-volume HR policy and procedure implementation, including represented employee matters
Talent & Performance Management
- Guide talent, performance, and compensation processes to build organizational capabilities
- Provide case management and investigatory support; manage DRP and CAC escalations and participate in decision-making
- Finalize related documentation in coordination with stakeholders
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Manage complex employee relations cases (complaints, conduct issues, conflicts) ensuring legal and policy compliance to drive a positive culture
- Coordinate M&A appeals, escalations, IRMs, and Third Step Hearings, providing support to Hearing Officers
- Coach and mentor leaders at all levels
Organizational Development
- Lead organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and change management initiatives
- Analyze HR data to inform strategic decisions and drive organizational change
- Foster positive employee and union relations
The base pay range for this role is $102,220.00 to $133,194.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
