For Air France Industries/KLM E&M, it is essential to have a flexible IT landscape that aligns well with the organizations needs and strategic objectives. The world of aircraft maintenance is continually changing. Core processes require constant optimization (including through digitization), and predictive maintenance (facilitated by Big Data) is playing an increasingly significant role. Market changes demand better integration with subsidiaries, suppliers, and customers, as well as greater flexibility and transparency in the logistics process. The IT organization responds to this by approaching the development of the application landscape based on modern architectural principles, increasingly anticipating reference architectures in response to customer needs, and basing the way of working on agile principles according to the SAFe framework.

What will you do?

At Engineering & Maintenance, SAP, Maintenix, and Documentum/xCP are the core systems, complemented by specific supplier systems. In our data teams, we use the data from these systems in combination with data collected from aircraft and their components to deliver analytical solutions that can help our customers optimize the maintenance of their aviation fleet. Within the framework of established business requirements, architecture, and operational guidelines, you will guide feasible IT solutions. From the Business Transformation Plan, you identify which IT needs exist, and you anticipate this by setting up or adjusting reference architectures. As a senior, you lead complex (often cross-project) architectural discussions. You ensure that choices are made transparent and documented. In doing so, you liaise with internal and external parties, as well as Air France colleagues. You mentor the ICT architects of the product teams and invest in their professional maturity. You lead improvement activities that enhance the departments architectural competence.

Where do you land?

You will work alongside two other domain architects and five architects on the development of the application landscape, in various projects, agile product teams, and release trains. You will meet weekly during the architecture meeting, where you exchange knowledge and experiences.
