Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 0830-1430STI is committed to providing exceptional logistics support for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC). We are seeking experienced Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Specialists to assist in the effective maintenance and operational readiness of submarine systems, especially the Towed Array Handling System (TAHS).
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA), Casualty Report (CASREP)
- Provide logistics assistance via telephone, email, chat, and naval message for both deployed and local submarines related to TAHS equipment (approximately 4 requests per month).
- Enter FTA and maintenance data into applicable databases such as Fleet Technical Support (FTS), Time Attendance and Reporting (TAR), and Regional Maintenance Automated Information System (RMAIS).
Continuous Operational and Maintenance Assessment Support
- Review and assess TAVR, CASREP, 2-Kilo reports, part usage, TAR, FTS, FTA, and maintenance data. Provide waterfront input and logistics support to identify, analyze, determine root causes, and resolve out-of-commission (OOC) casualties and failures. Formulate actionable recommendations for various stakeholders.
- Perform maintenance investigations and generate reports and point papers in support of SubCOMA, Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RMA), Top Management Attention (TMA), and other Fleet/TYCOM activities or meetings.
- Support TYCOM Force ST towed system working group meetings and Senior ST conferences, including preparing briefs, presentations, and on-site participation.
Total Ship Readiness Assessment (TSRA), Combat Systems Assessment (CSA)
- Provide onboard and distance support for the towed systems’ portion of TSRA, including Pre/Post-Deployment Maintainability Assessments (PDMA) (approximately 3 TSRA and 2 CSA per year, and 2 Logistics Reviews per year).
- Attend improvement and working group meetings to provide logistics input for system/equipment design and maintenance improvements.
- Develop, review, and provide comments on engineering change proposals (ECP) documentation and drawings.
NAVSEA Special Towed Systems Support & Test Equipment (S&TE)
- Maintain and track PMS4011 assigned towed systems special S&TE for technical assistance, installation, certification, inspection, and assessment.
- Provide inventory control and periodic NAVSEA S&TE calibration reports.
- Procure, pack, ship, and store materials and parts as needed for assigned tasks.
Fleet ILS and Configuration Management (CM) Support
- Provide onboard logistics and CM support during FTA and CASREPs to address fleet logistics issues.
- Expedite requisition, delivery, and turn-in of TAHS parts and equipment, including generating Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR).
- Work collaboratively with SUBLANT Force personnel, NAVSEA ILS Managers, NAVSUP-WSS specialists, and ship’s force Supply Officers to facilitate effective logistics support for towed systems operations.
NAVSEA ILS & Supply Support
- Provide waterfront ILS and supply support, including briefs and input at towed systems Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings.
- Collaborate with NAVICP and DLA item managers to implement parts and material support.
- Provide comprehensive logistics support including maintenance planning, technical documentation, training, and S&TE.
NAVSEA BUD/ECI
- Provide logistics support for BUD planning and implementation.
- Review and provide ILS comments on ECIs, TEMPALTs, and SHIPALTS for in-service handlers and arrays.
Towed Systems Support & Test Equipment (S&TE) and Cable Support
- Maintain and track towed systems S&TE for use during technical assistance, inspections, assessments, and more.
- Provide inventory control and periodic fleet S&TE calibration reports.
- Procure, calibrate, package, ship, and inventory fleet S&TE, including cables and connectors.
Requirements
- Specialized Experience: Two years of full-time experience in submarine fleet logistic support, with familiarity in the fleet introduction, installation, testing, and lifecycle support of systems like the AN/BQQ-10 Series and AN/BYG-1 combat systems, or related computerized systems of comparable complexity.
- General Experience: Four years of full-time experience in Navy Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support, encompassing:
