In this role, you will keep our buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, vacuuming, etc. Youll follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment and maintain/repair motorized cleaning equipment. Responsibilities:
- Stocking kitchens, restrooms, and cleaning them as needed.
- Cleaning of common areas.
- Dumping outside trash daily in the summer.
- Other duties as assigned
Must-haves:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 1-3 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Ability to complete scheduled, routine tasks quickly and efficiently without close supervision
- Must be capable of climbing stairs, ladders, and working on a stationary ladder
- Familiarity with the safe use of tools and cleaning products
- Knowledge of all types of floor cleaning equipment and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
- Willing to support special events.
- Must be a self starter and able to work with limited supervision.
- Be a team player with a can do attitude.
- Punctuality and good attendance a must.
- Willing to cover in other SNC buildings. Able to work overtime as needed.
- Must have a valid Colorado Drivers Licenses with an acceptable driving record.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
- Previous experience as a janitor
- Experience working with hand and power tools
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $18.44 - $25.36. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
