About This Group
The Technician is a part of the Quality Assurance team which ensures that products are up to standard before delivering the product to the customer.
About the Role
The QA Technician for this role will be running tests on coupons (samples) on the wings for the aircraft in production to ensure machines are set up properly in the build of the wing. Technician must be comfortable in running precision cutting equipment (bandsaw, grinder, cut-off wheel). This role is time sensitive and will work with Operators who will be sending in samples from different production sites for testing. Will also perform basic calibration tests as needed. The candidate selected for this role will need the ability to work independently.
Basic Quality Control Testing, reading Precision Measuring Equipment, utilizing SAP and Microsoft Office Suite are processes and tools utilized in day-to-day activities.
Please Note: This role is a weekend (3-12's) first shift Friday through Sunday. Shift will start early morning (Typical 5:00am to 5:30am)
Education and Experience Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years technically related experience. Proficient in blueprint reading/interpretation, shop mathematics, and QA System requirements. ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) Upon Hire preferred.
Position Purpose:
In a team oriented environment, performs all laboratory testing in a timely and efficient manner to ensure aircraft material, parts and components are compliant with type design data.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Performs laboratory tests and determines product acceptability in accordance with prescribed methods and procedures.
- Records, organizes and evaluates test results and generate Lab reports.
- Ensures compliance to all safety rules and regulations and provides protection to self and others during testing.
- Maintains equipment and assures calibration prior to performance of tests. .
- Maintains inventory control of area equipment.
- Works with and assists other lab Technicians as required.
- Proficient in data input for Microsoft Access, Solumina, and Corridor.
- Ensures all measurement and test equipment utilized is accurate and calibrated to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
