Job Summary:

The Military Engines Customer Support & Services organization (MCS&S) is seeking an individual to lead its data and process transformation journey. The Sustainment Data Transformation Architect position is responsible for leading the Military Customer Support organization’s strategy and execution plan to align and modernize how we support our internal Pratt & Whitney (P&W) sustainment customers along with our domestic and foreign partners.  Key strategic leadership areas include implementing a one-team integration mindset with P&W engineering and other sustainment organizations on their integration and data roadmaps, direct linkages from sustainment to engineering data creation, and modernization roadmaps for all programs to transform MCS&S response time to the speed of relevance needed by the end customer. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role requires a high degree of collaboration and integration inside & outside the MCS&S organization that includes interfaces with executive and non-executive leadership within Module Center CIPTs, Engineering Transformation organization, Engine Life Management Team, Logistics Program Management, Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering (ASE), Program Offices, Chief Engineers, Quality, Support Equipment (SE) Engineers, advanced programs, and Fleet Management organizations. 
  • The successful candidate will have background in many of these environments and the ability to build meaningful relationships, aligning goals and driving MCS&S’s future transformation.  The need is clear, but the playbook has yet to be written on how to be successful in this new role. 
  • This is an opportunity for the right person to blaze their future, and the future of the Military Customer Support organization at P&W.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital technologies, engineering, or other technical discipline with a minimum of 12+ years of related progressive experience or an advanced degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
  • Travel: 10

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical skills with proven experience in developing strategic integrated solutions.
  • Strong experience defining and managing all aspects of digital technology projects or similar.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to make effective/persuasive presentations to customers, suppliers, and teaming organizations
  • Proven ability to network and develop relationships with teaming organizations
  • Ability to identify complex project risks, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks
  • Knowledge of Enterprise level systems that can be leveraged; knowledge of P&W’s engineering tools, e.g., Teamcenter
  • CORE and VSM leadership experience

  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that the responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
