This co-op will be full-time, onsite in Duluth, MN from January 2025 through August 2025. This position is desired to be full-time, however a mix of part-time in the Spring semester, and full-time in the Summer can be discussed.

Job Duties:

  • Define the future of aviation. Join Cirrus Aircrafts autonomous flight team to build the greatest transformation in aviation since the jet engine. Create certifiable autonomous flight technologies to bring simple, safe personal flight to the masses.

Qualifications:

  • Current junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a relevant degree in Robotics, Data science, Computer Science, Electrical, Software, Aerospace engineering or equivalent program.
  • Areas of interest include low-level sensor integration (Camera, LIDAR etc), vision-based deep learning, data organization and labelling, data automation.
  • Experience in Python for data analysis.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision and able to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to self-organize and handle multiple project streams simultaneously.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Tools: PowerPoint, Excel to present concepts, ideas and data.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Robotic Operating Systems (ROS), Arduino, Raspberry PI or Nvidia Jetson.
  • Coursework in Computer vision, image processing, machine learning, data science/analysis.
  • Experience with Pytorch / TensorFlow, Azure / AWS Cloud services.
  • Hands on experience with Camera, LIDAR, PixHawk, GPS/IMU/GNSS Systems.
  • Aviation experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
  • Must be able to complete entire duration of co-op.
  • Must be able to secure local housing for duration of co-op.
