The Boeing Defense and Security Systems (BDS) is currently seeking an experienced Production Operations Specialist located in El Segundo, CA. A successful will be able to perform receipt and per-installation inspections on blankets, and guide technicians on proper installation and configuration.
Position Responsibilities:
- Reports on execution status weekly
- Coordinates support with adjacent functions
- Directs personnel on daily assignments
- Coordinates movement of materials to support production
- Prepares tooling and equipment for upcoming production
- Develops and implements manufacturing processes. Provides concurrent engineering support.
- Defines production activities and resolves problems of limited scope.
- Reviews and approves technical documents.
- Analyzes charging trends and develops projected manpower forecast.
- Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation.
- Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects.
- Serves as primary interface with internal customers.
- Translates data into actionable plan for implementation within the organization.
- Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective/preventative action.
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is for 1st shift.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Experience in manufacturing operations.
- Experience interpreting and working from blueprints, sketches and written and verbal instructions, in English.
- Experience working in a lab environment.
- Ability to lift 35lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in fall protection, confined space, hazardous energy, crane safety and incident investigations.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution System. (MESCI)
- Experience working in teams/work groups.
- Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint Time management experience.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary Range: 85,000 – 115.000
