Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

  • Researches, analyzes and provides employees with interpretation, guidance and advice relating to the NAV CANADA Relocation and Travel Programs.
  • Responds to enquiries and resolves issues related to travel and relocation.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the move process to ensure conformance with the relocation program.
  • Fosters relationships with relocating employees, their families, other departments within NAV CANADA and 3rd party suppliers.
  • Remains current on the NAV CANADA programs, NAV CANADA collective agreements, CRA guidelines, real estate practices, financial institution lending practices.
  • Analyzes, forecasts and tracks relocation expenditures and financial activities in a computerized database.
  • Ensures compliance to programs and policies and authorizes payments of relocation expenses and vendor accounts. Identifies issues and recommends appropriate corrective measures to improve business processes and / or ensure cost efficiency and effectiveness.

Education:

  • Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Experience:

  • Experience in the administration of relocation and/or travel policies.
  • Experience in working with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), Microsoft Access and Workday is an asset.

Knowledge: 

  • Knowledge of mobility programs and the principles of relocation in an organization.
  • Knowledge of relocation and/or travel programs, vendor contracts, interpretation of legal and financial documents as they relate to sale and acquisition of homes.
  • Knowledge of administrative and financial accounting procedures.
  • Knowledge of real estate principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of contracting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of geographical areas of Canada.

Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, legislation and collective agreement provisions appropriately.
  • Ability to manage and maintain multiple relocation files, records, tasks and follow-up systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to prioritize work and responses, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to review materials for accuracy and completeness and take appropriate action.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, in both official languages; spoken comprehension and written.
