Job Description:

Assists Manager Retail Services Manager by taking Co-ordination responsibilities for the effective running of the total Duty-Free Operations activity, in order to maximise sales and profitability. 

Job Outline:



  • Establish an effective management control procedure which will embrace Daily, Monthly, Annual Sales Figures, Stock Control Procedure and Analysis of Product Movement on sector-to-sector basis. Ensuring smooth flow of operations by liaising with all relevant stakeholders. Maintain an effective administrative control procedure to enable maximum sales to be generated and annual targets to be met.

  • Develop relationship and work closely with Emirates Flight Catering, Supply Chain and dnata logistics to ensure smooth operations management. Provide Training to Emirates Flight Catering Operations team on Retail Sales Service System (Cart packing, dangerous goods handling etc)

  • Coordinating with supply chain team for error free on time product deliveries. Assist Retail Services manager and team in developing, strategizing, executing business plans and budget.

  • Responsible for creating/improving supply chain procedures and ensuring cross functional department compliance. Preparing receipt notes and issuing credit/Debit notes for all inventory transactions, onboard and pre-order business channels. Conducting Year End stock count. Updating Systems with Stock movements and other necessary adjustments.

  • Ensuring profit maximization by providing direction, guidance, and leadership to supply chain network related to service, inventory, demand and supply planning, waste minimization, packing accuracy, product safety and certification. Supervising Key stakeholders to ensure all sales transactions recorded onboard are accurately recorded in the back end of the system and the inventory is accounted for.

  • Updating packing charts, determining stock levels of product range and placing orders of new products to be listed during season change. Conducting Year End stock count. Updating Systems with Stock movements and other necessary adjustments. Review current administrative procedures, update and implement accordingly.


Job Requirements:

In-Flight Service/In-flight Administration : 5+ Years

12 Years schooling or equivalent :


Knowledge/skills:



  • Preferred Airline experience together with strong administrative skills.

  • Full knowledge of various PC packages

  • M.S. Word, Excel, E-Mail Access, (General Office Systems).

  • General working knowledge of Airline Procedures and Business Administration. Sound knowledge of Duty-Free retail activities. Notes: - The position is tending towards administration/organisation ability combined with good business skills.

  • A high degree of confidentiality is required with good interpersonal skill. It requires an in depth understanding of the role of the executive and the organisation as a whole.

  • The holder must be self-motivated towards the Challenge of Sales Target achievement and profitability.
