Location
Our location is just a stone&39;s throw away from Munich, the beautiful state capital of Bavaria. Do you like sports and other outdoor activities? The Alps and Lake Starnberg are just an hour away and offer a wide range of leisure activities.
Your regular place of work is Manching. Within the scope of your duties, you will be deployed at the Airbus Defense and Space location after your start at Airbus Protect until the end of the operational requirements. After your return, you will be deployed at your regular place of work.

This position is part of our Safety Business Unit, which aims to enable safer, greener and more inclusive industries and transportation systems.
Tasks and responsibilities
Organize internal reviews according to Engineering Quality process throughout the development cycle of safety critical airborne systems, equipment and software
Maintain quality assurance records
Verify accuracy and consistency of certification data
Verify the quality of the data configuration management,
Monitor the quality of activities of subcontractors involved in the development
Support the development teams (including the Product Manager for example for external reviews) in terms of processes, methods and tools in relation to the certification requirements.
As such, you are able to have a critical eye on the technical aspects as well as on the development, validation, verification, configuration management and quality processes of development process of airborne systems
Required qualification
The work task requires knowledge and skills, which are usually provided by a relevant, completed degree with a standard period of study of up to 4 years in the area of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, a standard period of study of more than 4 years with a degree and related subject-specific additional qualification or completed vocational training with a corresponding, particularly extensive, subject-specific additional qualification. The overall knowledge and experience required may have been acquired in other ways
Desired skills and competences
Knowledge and experience in the above-mentioned areas of responsibility
Working experience in the field of electronic airborne system design or experience as product quality engineer in the aerospace industry
Knowledge of ARP4754A, DO-178C and DO-254
Skills in root cause analysis are welcome
Target-oriented with analytic problem-solving skills
Willing to learn new things
Team player, organized and autonomous person with good communication skills
Very good written and spoken English and German (B2)
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
This position may require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
