The Test Associate – Tester (Major Subs, or Javelin, or MHIP program) positions are expected to perform the following duties and tasks with guidance from supervision, work instructions, and procedures. Perform inspection of wire harnesses, electrical parts, and electro-mechanical assemblies utilizing a microscope or unaided eye. May use equipment and various tools to perform test to ensure product is built per specification. Uses appropriate documentation and selects proper inspection method, fulfilling both military and quality requirements.

This position is an onsite role.

This position is located at the Raytheon Dine Facility in Farmington, NM. RTX Dine Facility adheres to the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in areas of recruitment and hiring practices.

What you will do:

  • Record inspection results in the SAP prism shop floor system.

  • Must be able to report inspection or audit results verbally and in written format. Prepare reports and summaries.

  • Draws attention to important items and actual or potential problems and assists in developing solutions.  Check for work correctness and ensure proper records are maintained.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend parts list, manufacturing drawings, workmanship standards, wiring diagrams or schematics, engineering change notices, manufacturers specifications, and contractual requirements.

  • Experience in utilizing inspection instrument preferred.  Good organizational skills with respect to documentation and departmental functions helpful. Understand manufacturing processes and capable of auditing them.

  • TQM, ISO, Lean Manufacturing and CORE manufacturing exposure preferred. Understand concepts of variation and need for continuous improvement.

  • Active in site safety program.  Understands and performs all job duties in accordance with the appropriate operating procedures/instructions relative to all environmental/safety requirements and regulations governing the work area within an individual’s classification.

  • Position may require standing or sitting for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping and must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/subpart-C/section-120.62

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Valid state driver’s license.

  • Analytical, interactive, and computer literacy skills.
