Job Description:

Duties include inspecting, maintaining, packing, and adjusting aircrew flight equipment such as flight helmets, oxygen masks, parachutes, and flotation devices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow the day-to-day operations related to your own job to ensure continuity of work.
  • Ensure daily production targets are achieved
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components based on analysis of test results, following blueprints, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents, using hand tools, special tools, and test equipment.
  • Examine and inspect calibration on installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications and ensure the performance of tasks based on standard procedure.
  • Lead scheduled service and maintenance tasks on components and advice on problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting components and related aircraft equipment.
  • Lead unscheduled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks assigned to aircraft systems, components, and related equipment and ensure the right implementation of procedures.
  • Examine and test repaired components and systems according to standards and procedures and approve the process before signing off.
  • Review and inspect maintenance forms, aircraft records, automated maintenance data systems, and historical reports as required to ensure complete documentation and sign-off for the supervisor’s approval.
  • Report findings to supervisor and issues to supervisor and collaborate with the supervisor to assess the problem and lead the implementation of the adopted solution and ensure proper execution in performing tasks.
  • Initiate deficiency reports, maintenance analysis documents, technical data changes, and equipment records.
  • Record information on data collection forms and automated systems under the request of the supervisor and when required ensure preparation of timely and accurate status reports.
  • Provide accurate status reports on daily maintenance activities to the supervisor.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to technicians and senior technicians on basic and complex tasks and procedures to support their development.
  • Act as a technical expert of the components technician’s team in addressing complex component maintenance issues by illustrating the right procedure to address the issues to ensure quality maintenance and repair operations.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to the company Quality management system (QMS) Safety Management System (SMS) and local occupational health and safety regulation.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Minimum Qualification:

  • Technical expertise or Aircrew Flight Equipment equivalent diploma or skill level 7 certified Aircrew Life Support technician.
  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience in aircraft components maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance processes and procedures
  • Understanding of Aircrew Flight Equipment components and functions
