Position Summary
- Operate and monitor bobbin winders
- Set up and operate bobbin winders according to manufacturing specifications, following detailed instructions accurately
- String wire through bobbin winders, adjust counter to necessary footage, fill up oil container as needed
- Record the necessary data on WW3 for labeling
- Place finished bobbins on wire table, make wire bobbins according to inventory on wire table
- Keep all bobbin machines operating continuously
- Pull material from warehouse as needed
- Maintain work area in clean and orderly fashion, follow 5S practices
- Know and practice all safety regulations and quality guidelines
- Report production issues to Direct Lead
- Perform work of an equal or lower classification
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, recognizes International Diplomas (may need to be translated to English)
- U.S. citizen or permanent residency status required
- Must be able to work and communicate with peers
- Must be able to adapt to production needs to satisfy customer demands
- Ability to read manufacturing specifications and use calipers
- Basic understanding of lean fundamentals preferred
Physical & PPE Requirements:
Standing, bending, lifting, and carrying (up to 55 lbs.), walking, pushing, pulling, balancing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, handling, grasping, and working under normal conditions. Must have hand and eye coordination. Repetitive motions and moving machine parts. Exposure to oil. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses and ear plugs (85-90 dB) are all required when working in the mfg. plant. All PPE provided by Company.
