Job Title: Painter
Job DescriptionWe are looking to bring on three contract aerospace painters who are open to working in all painting environments, including the composite painting area and final paint. The ideal candidates will possess a DEP in aerospace painting or a related field, with experience in confined sandblasting, putty application, sanding, primer application, and anodyne. Candidates must demonstrate a strong level of teamwork and attention to detail. It is important to note that all candidates must be willing to start in the parts prepping department, as this is the current primary need.
Responsibilities
- Work in various painting environments including composite painting area and final paint.
- Perform confined sandblasting with proper safety equipment (mask and respiration system).
- Apply putty, sand surfaces, and apply primer and anodyne.
- Prepare parts for painting.
- Work collaboratively with team members.
- Maintain attention to detail in all tasks.
Essential Skills- DEP in aerospace painting or carrosserie.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in painting (aerospace or automotive).
- Experience with sanding, polishing, and masking.
- Ability to read plans in English and French.
- Ability to perform repetitive movement tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience with paint prep, parts preparation, and spray gun operation.
- Proficiency in working in a paint booth environment.

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and temperate, with multiple workstations for sanding, polishing, and painting. The composite paint area includes 2x4 workstations, one sandblast machine, and one paint station with a painters assistant. The environment can be relatively loud, requiring ear protection, and safety equipment such as masks, coveralls, safety boots, and safety glasses. Shifts include a day shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and an evening shift from 3:30 PM to 12:30 AM. Training will be conducted during the day shift for the first 1-2 months. The team consists of 6-10 people per shift, led by a team lead.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.75 - $33.65/hr.
