Job overview and responsibilities

• To develop, implement and coordinate between United Airlines Cargo and select key customers a mutually agreed upon strategy for aggressive revenue growth
• Serve as the designated representative for assigned accounts and building global key influence relationships, dealing with customers’ highest buying levels and coordinate sales and service activities at all levels
• Relationships / Revenue Generation
• Develop strategies to increase sales, penetration and margins with assigned accounts and develop and maintain relationships with identified decision makers at accounts
• This process is to be facilitated through regular sales calls
• Accountability
• Establish call plans and joint call plans with manager and be accountable for monitoring performance against goals and plans, and implementing corrective action when necessary
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, product and service commitments
• Planning / Strategy
• Define strategies and processes to enable themselves to meet/exceed goals and targets for freight revenue and contribution
• Work closely with Inside Sales Representatives to ensure territory sales vision, strategies, plans and goals are uniformly developed and executed

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.

Unless subject to a collective bargaining agreement in the country to which an employee is being transferred; the employee retains their original date of employment and company seniority in the new country. Upon transfer, the employee is removed from payroll and benefits in former country and appropriately placed in the salary range and payroll / benefits systems of the new country.

Human Resources will assist with the terms and conditions of employment in light of labor agreements, collective agreements, country work rules and labor laws. In the new country, the employee is reinstated using the same employee id, date of employment and company seniority dates.

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• 3+ years of sales experience with direct customer contact in the air cargo industry
• Must be legally authorized to work in Japan for any employer without sponsorship
• Must be fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken)
• Successful completion of the interview is required to meet the job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
