Role Introduction

Reports To: Cargo Sales Manager HK

The Hong Kong Cargo Sales team plays a significant role in bringing key revenue to the airline with a focus on expanding capacity and developing sales in the region. This role will be leading a team of cargo indoor sales to manage short term capacity, drive the utilization, and providing sales support function of the assigned sales area.​

Key Responsibilities

Short-term Capacity Management

  • Lead the indoor sales team of the assigned area to maximize the utilization of short-term capacity 
  • Work closely with Cargo Revenue Management (CRM) team to enhance flight planning processes to maximize the revenue and optimize the short-term capacity Ex HKG. 

Leading Indoor Sales Team

  • Ensure premium and professional service is provided to our customers by providing guidance to our indoor sales members 
  • Provide service recovery options to our partners and be the first point of escalation 
  • Gather information on agent allotment utilization and market intelligence from Indoor Sales team to generate insights for Outdoor Sales to follow up. 
  • Support Joint Business Agreement (JBA) & interline partners by providing sales service support on booking automation, communication on space situation, booking acceptance, and service recovery 
  • Take part in new initiatives / projects by providing support during development and implementation stages, e.g. Allotment Manager, and other digitalization projects, and provide feedbacks to the project team 
  • Initiate changes to enhance service levels and productivity 
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as CSD, COC, CPSL, CRM, other head office teams and out-ports for special cargo and charter servicing. 
  • Closely monitor the ULD inventory level and coordinate with internal stake holders and customers to ensure smooth operation 
  • Generate flight and agent level performance reports, and reports on daily operations such as uplift,  no-show, offloading, etc., for better monitoring and regular review 
  • Prepare roster for Indoor Sales team to ensure sufficient manpower for daily operations 
  • Communicating with customers by providing timely updates on our latest schedule and service related issue 
Requirements
  • Tertiary level qualification is preferred 
  • Minimum 3 years’ air cargo experience 
  • Supervisory exposure with good people management skills 
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese 
  • Proficiency in Putonghua is considered an advantage 
  • Commercially minded with sound numerical, analytical and communication skills 
  • Strong planning, organising and coordination capabilities 
  • Knowledge of air cargo sales/service/operations/systems including Champ’s CargoSpot, CTO’s WOS, GLS’s EzyCargo and Qilkview (Insight) is preferred
  • A good team player with leadership potential
  • Available to work on shifts and attend to urgent issues after office hour
