The Sales Manager - Georgia plays a crucial role in driving the airlines revenue growth by overseeing and managing the sales teams activities. This position is responsible for developing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and nurturing relationships with key partners and clients. The Sales Manager works closely with the Commercial Manager and other departments to achieve sales targets and ensure the airlines spanet presence remains strong.
1. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand Air Arabias spanet share.2. Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve their individual and collective sales goals.3. Identify and explore new sales opportunities in existing and emerging spanets.4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, corporate clients, GSAs, and other potential sales channels to drive bookings and sales.5. Monitor sales performance and KPIs, providing regular reports and analysis to the management team.6. Collaborate with the Marketing department to design and execute sales campaigns and promotions effectively.7. Stay updated on industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to adapt strategies accordingly.8. Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote Air Arabias products and services.9. Work with the Commercial Manager to optimize fare structures and pricing strategies.10. Handle negotiations and contracts with partners, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.11. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all sales-related activities.12. Act as a brand ambassador, promoting Air Arabias values and customer-centric approach.13. Create a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team. 14. Manages performance of direct reports through objective setting, continuous support, feedback, and formal reviews to ensure business objectives are met; Ensures conflict management, grievances handling, disciplinary issues are handled effectively in line with company procedures. 15. Perform any additional duties as advised by the Line Manager.
Minimum bachelor’s in Management, Commerce, Sales, Marketing or any other relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of extensive working experience in a similar role in the aviation/travel industry.- Solid knowledge of airline commercial KPIs, such as revenue vs budget, seat factor, yield, booking patterns, channel mix (B2B vs B2C), and ability to translate targets into actionable sales plans.- Analytical and reporting capability, comfortable working with sales reports, dashboards, Excel-based analysis, and providing structured spanet feedback.- Deep understanding of the Georgian travel trade, including top IATA & non-IATA agencies, tour operators, consolidators, and corporate accounts, with an established local network.- Hands-on experience with distribution systems (GDS, NDC/API, airline direct channels), including pricing, competitiveness monitoring, travel agency performance tracking.- Fluent in English and Georgian languages.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Customer-focused approach with a dedication to providing excellent service.- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, meeting deadlines and targets.
