Role Summary

The Sr Sales Program Spec is a subject matter expert in internal and external communications including the creation of executive level presentations as well as preparing collateral, creating a communication and marketing strategy, and driving brand preference to Alaska Air Group. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment on decisions related to the development, implementation and tracking of Sales communication and marketing strategies and provides recommendations to grow revenues and move the business forward.

Key Duties

  • Act as subject matter expert in internal and external sales communications.

  • Communicate frequently with Senior Leadership and Sales Managers across the country to understand their needs and develop the appropriate content and tools to support the team and our customers (QBR decks, Marketing materials, Joint Contracting materials, Corporate RFP proposals, Sales event materials, etc.).

  • Manage execution of Corporate and Agency newsletter that will be distributed on a regular basis and maintain the content on the Alaska Business website.

  • Create and regularly monitor and manage an Alaska Business LinkedIn professional page where we will communicate company updates, policy updates, and guest experience updates.

  • Influence cross-functionally and build relationship between the Sales team and our partners in Loyalty and Marketing. Leverage deep relationships to ensure initiatives such as fast track promotions and corporate special offers go to market.

  • Provide product training to the Sales team on promotional materials and the latest company offers and updates.

  • Utilize our corporate sales analytics programs (PRISM and Salesforce) to support the Sales team in packaging content and data into collateral that is shared to external stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills

Required

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Sales, Communications, Marketing, or related area.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics or related field, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Minimum age of 18.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred

  • Airline Industry experience.

  • Familiarity with Sales tools (PRISM and Salesforce) and Communication platforms (LinkedIn, website).

  • Demonstrated ability to create executive level presentations.

  • Strong cross-functional and leadership influencing skills.

  • Able to adapt to an ever-changing, dynamic market and willing to work in a virtual environment.

  • Advanced level written, verbal, and presentation skills, with advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

  • Experience in building out communication/marketing materials and strategies

Salary Range

$95,000 -- $142,600 / year

Salary Details

Pay will be based on multiple factors, including and not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees. Alaska/Horizon is committed to fair, unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits in all locations in which we operate.

Note: We don’t typically hire at the top of the range.
