SUMMARY:

The Technical Publications / Reliability Analyst shall report to the Manager Quality Assurance and Director Quality.  The Technical Publications / Reliability Analyst writes, edits, revises and manages the electronic data system.  Publishes a variety of company technical procedures for ST Aerospace Mobile’s Policy and Procedures Manual (PPM), Repair Station Quality Control Manual (RS/QCM), MAEEM, MAEC, and all other applicable STA Mobile  manuals and supplements.  Responsible for drafting Safety & Quality Briefing Notes (SQBNs) on sensitive issues and areas requiring immediate dissemination to various customers’ programs.  Management and coordination of publications as they move through the approval process for both internal and external (FAA) approval.  Assists during the drafting of Airworthiness Agreements through their final approvals. 

 

          ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform reliability trend analysis on “C” check or higher level maintenance checks.
  2. Generate reliability ratings for aircraft based upon reported reliability events.
  3. Enter and track the following information in the Reliability Trend Analysis database: Identification number or control number, aircraft number, class number, ATA chapter affected, description of reliability event, date reported and log page or other applicable reference.
  4. Perform a review of aircraft maintenance entries for the previous 30 days prior to aircraft induction, to identify possible pre-induction reliability events.
  5. Report pre-induction reliability events to applicable Program Manager and Planning for discussion during aircraft pre-induction meetings.
  6. Reviews customer supplied reliability data and classifies each item into the appropriate classification.
  7. Periodically review all available maintenance/reliability within scheduled time frames / cycles and perform further analysis if data trends indicate necessity.  Based on this review, generate a formal report of documented reliability events.
  8. Enter, track and document reliability events through Quality Assurance Corrective Action Reporting (CAR) in accordance with STA Mobile PPM QC-010.
  9. Collect and review Management’s responses to various reliability events to ensure that the responses provide remedial action.  Return any unsatisfactory event responses to the applicable Manager for immediate action.
  10. Notify affected personnel and departments of preventive actions implemented to prevent recurrence of reliability events through training, procedure revision or generation, distribution of Maintenance Alerts or Bulletins, etc.
  11. Responsible for notifying the Manager Quality Assurance of preventive actions to be accomplished.
  12. Document aircraft maintenance/reliability data at intervals of 50, 100, and 150 cycles from redelivery date.  Generate a formal report, detailing the Reliability Rating accrued by the aircraft during this time span.
  13. Analyze the data from the reports quarterly to identify new trends and determine if corrective/preventive action has been effective.
  14. Maintains the QA surveillance database and produces monthly, quarterly and annual quality reviews as required.
  15. Maintains the First Pass Quality database, obtaining data from Quality Control Call Sheets on all programs.
  16. Maintains ST Aerospace Mobile’s Aircraft Damage database as damages occur and produces detailed reporting, along with trend data for the past 12 months and over the last 5 years.  Also tracks man-hours worked against number of damages, along with associated costs.
  17. Be responsible for creating new procedures and editing and/ or deleting existing procedures, as is necessary based on daily company functioning; customer requests; FAA requirements, etc.; for all ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc - produced manuals.
  18. Updating, creating and/ or deleting any ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc manual supplements, EASA supplements or other ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc -related publications as required.
  19. Creating Safety, Quality and Briefing Notes (SQBN’s) for published revisions to the PPM and RSQCM.
  20. Updating on-line Airworthiness Agreements (AWA’s) between ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc and customers.
  21. Secure any and all necessary management, customer or FAA approval as is required for any and all ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc produced procedures, supplements, manuals and etc.
  22. Maintain detailed files and tracking s all procedures, supplements and manuals.
  23. Assist department heads and management in monitoring all manuals to ensure accuracy and currency of information.
  24. Interface with FAA and customer representatives as required maintaining ST Aerospace Mobile, Inc publications system and adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  25. Perform any related duties as required / requested by Quality Management.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:      

Proficient with Microsoft Office computer applications; SCEPTRE & Maxi Merlin experience preferred, strong writing and presentation skills, proficient skills in organizing, analyzing and preparing reports; excellent communication skills; strong interpersonal skills needed for frequent interaction with Customers, Managers and Directors.
