Rotor is a startup based in Nashua, NH that is revolutionizing how aircraft are piloted. We are building autonomous full scale helicopters designed to make helicopters and other VTOLs radically safer and more accessible. We’re a 40-person team that successfully flew our first prototype helicopter in 2022 and are currently working on a 4-seat helicopter platform that can carry 1,000lbs of payload for over 3 hours. Our first product, the R550, will initially be deployed in 2024 for agricultural crop dusting applications. Our team has built flight controls, communications, and software technology that gives pilots better situational awareness than the cockpit, enabling operations at night and in low visibility and preventing accidents caused by pilot disorientation and human error.
